#u know that theory i made up once where derek sent stiles postcards #when he left with cora #shit like ‘it is hot’ and ‘ud like it here’ or ‘there’s a goat following me’ i hope stiles writes to derek #even emails he never sends #cos he //knows// derek can’t use a computer for shit #he’s got no one to bounce off these days scott’s his bff and lydia gets it but they’re not antagonistic they don’t rile him up or mess with him #they don’t spark with him #there’s no one that quite gets the weird darkness he sometimes feels the loss and the need to cover up sadness with snark and anger #no one he can take it out on that he knows //will// take it cos they know he needs it #and derek could take it and give it back and it almost… made stiles laugh #derek wasn’t even FUNNY but he still made stiles laugh… just a bit #and i bet he tells him that #writes all these unsent letters with stuff about how he’s afraid of change #and how derek would know what to do about punk teenagers #and hey remember when derek had to deal with //them//? #these kids are totally worse #derek would hate them #but not the way he always pretended to hate stiles #stiles knows derek pretended to hate stiles as much as stiles pretended to hate derek not even close not even a little bit not even at all he misses derek #and he hopes derek comes back maybe he sends one ‘by accident’ and derek replies ‘i miss u too idiot’ #and stiles //knows// and he waits #waits for derek to come home to him (via felicitysmock)
